How can I be all packed and still sitting here in my too hot house you ask?
Well, the short version: Nathan had a bit of an “episode” (do 15 year olds have tantrums?) and we decided it best that he not go to a condo where he would have the police called on him for sure if he was unable to calm himself down. So, here I am. I still wanted Polly to get to go, so she went without me. I hope that everyone has a lot of fun. I scheduled a doctor’s appointment for Nathan. Most of the time he is just like a regular young man, and it is easy to forget there’s anything wrong and then something like this happens and smack, I feel like I am walking on eggshells around my own child again. Tomorrow will be a better day. I am thinking of going and getting my nails done as a treat for myself. I’ve never done it before. If I can get over my “strangers touching me” phobia it might be just the thing to perk me up. And so much cheaper than cocaine.

GET YOUR NAILS DONE!!!!!!! I feel truly pampered when I get my nails or hair done, and it sounds like just the ticket for you right now!

Hi Michele and Belle,
No, I don’t get to go on vacation. We had already put the deposit down on the beach front condo so Polly went with my Mom. I have talked with them both and they are having a good time. I really wanted my daughter to have fun, and I know she is in good hands with my Mom. My Mom has offered to watch the kids sometime this summer so that Alex and I can have a “honeymoon”, we’ve never traveled together without the kids, but I need to make sure that Nathan is stabilized before I can leave him with anyone. His doctor is adjusting his medication so we’ll see.
I have been working in my yard and getting caught up on my reading so all is not lost. Plus, I made an appointment to get my hair and nails done and I am really looking forward to treating myself.
