I haven’t been able to write because I’ve had a horrible urinary tract infection. My days have been spent running back and forth to the toilet. Thankfully Alex was home all weekend to help me with Maggie. I think that if I’d had to take her out 101 times a day I would have been squatting down to pee right beside her, neighbors be damned.
I should be back to writing this evening. My Mom bought a new house and she’s begging me to come over to see it. Maybe I’ll just wear a diaper in the car. Hey, if astronauts can do it, we can all do it!

AArgh…..a UTI!
I’ve only had one in the past 25 years, but don’t ask me why I got so lucky. Daughter gets them all the time and she is always miserable. I’ll never forget one foreign urologist that I went to when I was first married and suffering mightily with a UTI: “You go pee after do it?” It took me awhile to figure that out, but I did learn a lesson. Hee.

Hi Belle!
I just got off the phone with the advice nurse; I was asking her if she could call something in for me, and she asked me if I’d had sex in the past 24 hours.
um, no. They won’t give me any pills until I am seen
I have an appointment for tomorrow. They said if I can’t take it any longer to go to the ER. NOT going to happen. Last time I was at the ER I waited for hours.

Oh, good grief! My doc’s nurse told me the same thing and I said, “Look! I know what it is and I can’t take off time from work (lie)to run in” blahblah. They caved and got me some meds ordered. However, I did have to take a urine sample in later. They gotta check to see if that nasty e Coli is swimmin’ around in there (yep).
Them asking that question? What if you would have said “yes”? Kinda makes no sense, but what do I know!

Yeah, they told me to give them a urine sample tomorrow. I asked if I was supposed to bring it in and she said rudely, “No, you do it here!” Like I was going to bring in my husband’s pee or something. Sometimes I do ask some stupid questions but I thought that one was ok.
As for the sex thing, maybe she was going to blame my husband. I don’t know. Waiting on something like this is hard. I should have listened to my Mom and gone in earlier this week. I kept hoping it would go away.
