Hi. My name is Tammy. I am a 35 year old woman who lives in Portland, Oregon. I have two children, Nathan, age 16 and Polly, age 13. I am married to Alex.

I happen to suffer from a debilitating case of panic disorder and depression. I don’t really like to label myself. I am currently seeking treatment options that will allow me to move past the illness and into a brighter future. More than anything I enjoy reading, gardening, watching movies, listening to music, baking breads and treats, cooking, and spending time with my family.

I decided to start this journal because when I was first diagnosed with panic disorder I had no idea what it was. I thought I was going insane and felt completely alone. I don’t want anyone else out there struggling with this to feel the same way.

I am open to discussing many topics here, not just my illness, because that could get a bit depressing or even, dare I say it, boring. I would just like to create a place where people feel comfortable reading and commenting. I believe in the power of laughter. Thank you for stopping by. It means a lot to me.
